The seams of the lamp shade have been copperplated now.
This is necessary for the patination.
Inside the lamp you can see a reinforcement wire here. It follows the seams
and isn`t visible from outside, when
the shade is lit.
There are running 6 reinforcement wires from the upper aperture rim to lowere border rim of the shade.
Another reinforcement is following the circumference of the shade in a distance of 1-4 inches
from it´s lower border.
